International training course for youth workers
GREET – „Greenfield Thinking“ is an international training course via Action 3.1.2 for youth workers and multipliers in youth work which will take a place in Czech Republic from 2nd to 9th May 2014. It will provide 26 participants from 17 partner organizations and 11 countries from EU and EECA region to raise their competences in creativity, inner boldness, rituals and development own balance with focus on the wisdom of Forefathers.
We will work on Self-consciousness, we will learn about Cultures and Traditions and we will see the NATURE in "other's shoes" and see how powerful tool is it. Our ambitions are to share experiences how to support youth workers to be able to include young people and youth people with fewer opportunities in YiA activity as well as in their daily work. The main focus in terms of target groups is set on young people who are disadvantaged for different reasons.
All these competences will be practiced on the spot and focused on dissemination and future project development as well. The training will underline the importance of inclusion and will give new, innovative and useful methods and approaches to make sure to reach also vulnerable and excluded youth.
Our 3 trainers will ensure a highest quality in delivering the training:
Michael Lickers (Calgary, Canada) is Native American specialist working with youth in risk using Rituals. He is a lecturer at the University of Calgary and is giving advise on innovative approaches around the world.
Leo Kaserer (Zirl, Austria) is experienced social worker, trainer and lecturer, active in the youth and social work field since 1995. Beside teaching assignments at Universities he works as a freelance trainer for National Agencies, SALTOs and NGOS around the world. He is the founder of the Rückenwind network and working since several years with organizations to offer an European and true inclusive experience to young people with fewer opportunities. As Youth in Action Ambassador for Great Britain he is highly involved in events of the European Commission, National Agencies and National bodies.
Petra Kalocova (Ostrava, Czech Republic) is psychologist, coach, trainer and facilitator, active in the youth and social work field since 1994. She works as a HR specialist and trainer.
